If there are any people that are interested in participating in an alternative to all of the political parties that are tied into the system as it is, consider joining this tribe that represents the beginning of creatingan alternative, especially for the 80 of Canadians under 30 that did not vote.
Do you like the direction that Canada is heading and how the people in power use their power in regards to the environment and our relations with the United States?

Wed, January 26, 2005 - 2:34 PMRe: Canadian Action Party
You know..posting this here and expecting any sort of response is like trying to make conversation on a bus in rush hour.
So perhaps I have to spice it up a bit and see what happens. I know the conversation is positively scintillating what with stair locations, suit stores, and party meetings.
Would anyone like to get into a political discussion which I know is completely off the radar screen for most Canadians...for the reason of exploring why Canadians are so complacent in regards to the massive bureacracy that cripples initiative.
I have a friend who was starting an aromatherapy business and she stopped because of all the licensing and documentaion you need just to be allowed to do something.
What is it about Canadians that makes us allow our government stifle an entrepeneur spirit?
And what about the impact of our American Buddies? I'm not talking about people in general, I am talking about US foreign policy.
Did you know that after ww2 we had the 4th largest merchant marine and it was shut down by an American thug sent here to do just that.
Did you know that the Avro would have made us the top manufacturer jet airplanes? Shut down.
The same thing happened in the film industry in th e20's and we were releagtes to documentaries.
Isn't anyone sick of the bullshit that is hidden under things and never talked about?
That the debt we pay is interest on interest and was created by banks with our governments permission?
That there is enough evidence on 9-11 to prove that it was a complete scam.
Anybody?

Re: Canadian Action party
Fri, February 4, 2005 - 10:55 AMdo enough people in edmonton use tribe for it to have any value to edmontonian tribers? the only thing tribe was good for me in e. was that i could talk to people not in e.
but keep posting the numbers show up and eventually people feel compelled to check.
i've kind of moved my focus of activisim from the political to the civic. they relate, but i don't want to be a part of something that builds my participation into the bottom end of awareness.
so what makes me feel powerful is creating an alternative economic and social means of interacting with my community, one that is superior to the dominant framework, and will be ready to take over once the capitalists have sold themselves the rope they want to hang themselves with.

Re: Canadian Action party
Mon, November 28, 2005 - 10:32 AMFrom what I've read, I think it's safe to say we're on the same page.
My only issue with 'alternatives' is that they are always dependant on the existing system falling to pieces, civil society going to shit and THEN the rebuilding starts under the 'new' framework.
Maybe I'm trying too hard to be an optimist but I would like to think there's a way to get through to the masses RIGHT NOW and move towards some actually, no-bullshit change.

This was in the news today: Very Startling news. Its just not a public process and if anything does need to be public...our sovereignty you think would be at the top of the list. Maybe I'm nuts but the fire is getting bigger and still no one is wondering where the water is.
For those who would prefer some more distance from US policies:www.vivelecanada.ca/article....106/print
What do you think about whats said here?
